Herdr owns the terminals your agents run in. Close the window or lose your SSH connection and the work keeps running in a background server; reattach and your agents are still going. After a restart it restores the layout and can resume supported agent sessions. Every pane is marked working, blocked or idle, so you can see which agent needs an answer. Agents can drive Herdr too: spawn panes, prompt each other and wait for another agent.
It runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Grok and other terminal agents without wrapping them, and can combine your Mac and saved SSH machines in one window. There are two ways in: the `herdr` terminal app (one Rust binary, Homebrew formula) and the newer Herdr desktop app, whose Mac build is for Apple silicon (Homebrew cask `herdr-app`).
Herdr is free and open source under Apache-2.0. It runs on your own machines; your prompts go to the agent providers you use.
