It's a developer preview with breaking changes expected. The Mac download is for Apple silicon; Homebrew's cask lists macOS 13 or later.

The app is free and MIT-licensed. You enter a DeepSeek API key (or another provider, including OpenAI-compatible endpoints), and the model runs there.
