The Fetch server gives an AI app one tool: fetch a URL and convert the page to Markdown, with a start index so the model can read long pages piece by piece. By default it refuses private and local addresses.
It's one of the reference servers kept by the MCP steering group to show how MCP works; the maintainers say to review its security for your own use. Run it with uvx or install it with pip (Python 3.10 or later).
It's free and runs on your Mac; it reaches the websites the model asks for.
