The Memory server stores entities, the relations between them and short observations in a local knowledge graph, so an AI app can remember things about you across chats.
It's one of the reference servers kept by the MCP steering group to show how MCP works; the maintainers say to review its security for your own use. It runs with npx and needs Node.js 24 or later.
It's free, and the memory file stays on your Mac.
npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-memoryOfficial downloads only. MLX never re-hosts an app, and never runs a command for you.
