codebase-memory-mcp builds a persistent graph of your code, documentation, configuration and infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI and more), so an agent can find a feature, follow calls across services and see what a change affects without reading files over and over. It exposes 17 MCP tools and also works from the command line.
It's a native binary with no Docker or language runtime needed; the installer writes the MCP configuration for the agent apps you select. Releases include CBM Lens, an optional visual explorer in open beta.
It's free and MIT-licensed. Indexing and queries run on your Mac with no hosted service or API key, and the tool makes no network requests of its own (CBM Lens can optionally download a model that runs in your browser).
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DeusData/codebase-memory-mcp/main/install.sh | bashnpm install -g codebase-memory-mcpOfficial downloads only. MLX never re-hosts an app, and never runs a command for you.
