OpenCode is a coding agent with a terminal interface, a desktop app (beta) and an IDE extension. It has a build agent for changes and a read-only plan agent for exploring code, and it can run several sessions in parallel.
Install the CLI with the script, npm or Homebrew; the desktop app comes for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
OpenCode is free and includes free models. You can also sign in with ChatGPT Plus/Pro or GitHub Copilot, or use local models. OpenCode says it doesn't store your code or context; data is stored only when you use its free models.
