Gemini answers questions, writes, makes images and video, runs Deep Research and talks by voice with Gemini Live. The Mac app opens from a keyboard shortcut over any app.

Google says the desktop app runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS Sequoia (15.0) or later. The iPhone and iPad app needs iOS 18.2.

The free plan works with a Google Account. Google AI Plus costs $4.99 and Google AI Pro $19.99 a month. The AI runs on Google's servers.
