Superwhisper turns speech into text in any app. You press Option-Space and talk. Modes change the tone and formatting, and it remembers names and terms you add.

The Mac app needs macOS 14 or later; offline models run best on Apple silicon. There is also an iPhone app (iOS 26 or later).

It works offline with local models, or you can pick cloud models such as GPT or Claude for formatting. There is a free plan; Pro costs $8.49 a month.
